Freight Sales Representative



The Opportunity

UB Freight is a dynamic freight forwarding business with offices in Auckland, Fiji and Sydney. Due to business growth they have a critical new position available in their Airport team for a Sales Representative to join their happy team working with existing customers and attracting new business. This means that you will have lots of client contact.

About you

You will have strong sales skills and the ability to form relationships with new customers quickly and naturally. You must also demonstrate attention to detail to enter customers' requests and issue clear instructions to other departments. Your interpersonal skills must be extremely well developed. You must have excellent customer service skills to deal politely and effectively with customers' inquiries or complaints. Ideally you will have at least a couple of years successful sales experience elsewhere, though this may not necessarily be in the freight forwarding industry as we will teach you all you need to know. A graduate degree would be great, but is not essential.

Sales Support Representative


The Opportunity

The main aim of this role is to do anything needed to allow the sales staff to spend more time in the field with customers. This means that you will have lots of client contact making times for sales staff to see customers and updating them on the status of their orders. You will also assist with quotations and alert sales staff to any problems. You will handle communications by emails, phone and letter for sales staff and create and maintain all customer records. You will also manage all incoming orders and check all details are correct and liaise with the operations team to ensure delivery of the order. You will also take care of things like travel support and processing expense claims and any other tasks that may from time to time be required.

About you

You will have strong administrative, clerical, record-keeping and computing skills. You must also demonstrate attention to detail to enter customers' requests accurately and issue clear instructions to other departments. Your interpersonal skills to deal with customers and collaborate with other departments in the company must be extremely well developed. You must have excellent customer service skills to deal politely and effectively with customers' inquiries or complaints. You may have had at least two years experience in a similar role. A tertiary qualification would also be great but is not a deal breaker.
